Toronto Windsurfing Club Volunteers
The Toronto Windsurfing Club is able to exist because of its broad base of Volunteers. To do this a standing army of volunteers is required and available.
We need your help to do all the tasks and chores (clean windows and sweep Floors) as well as help us celebrate our favorite sport (BoardFest and Mammoth Marathon).
The membership form contains a checklist of volunteer activities. Please consider what you can and would like to do and check that off.
Periodically, as events or requirements dictate, potential volunteers will be contacted and asked if they can help. Please say yes. It’s a great way to meet people and have a great time helping the club.
Organizers
As well as workers we need individuals who want to organize and coordinate many of these activities. People interested in helping to organize volunteer activities may, and usually do, indicate so in their membership applications.
Please feel free to suggest any activity within the scope of the TWC which you feel needs action and which you could lead.
Painting the New Trailers
The trailers have arrived and were delicately set in place. (a great volunteer effort indeed). However, the exposed sides need to be painted the same rich green colour that was applied last year.
We need a volunteer to coordinate this activity.
TWC needs more volunteers to do the work.
A Telephone Tree
What is that, you ask?
On occasion, the club needs to reach as many members as possible in a relatively short period of time. Email may work but some people either do not have email or do not check their email more than weekly.
A phone tree is a group of volunteers that, once given a message, call a small list of members with that message.
There is a phone committee heading on the volunteer list. Please indicate your desire to lead or participate in the Phone Tree. It’ll work when we need help on short notice.
