BACKGROUND

The progression below is based on the textbook: Tricktionary, the Ultimate Windsurfing Bible available at Tricktionary.net.
The first two sections below follow the first two chapters of Tricktionary. The Free Style Competency Levels 1-12 are based on Tricktionary's "Guide to Learning" on page 52 of the textbook.

BEGINNER (Starting Out)

Pre-Free Style knowledge and Training
Beginner knowledge and Skills assumed for many of the Free Style manoeuvres:

Freestyle ashore and on water Exercises and Skills
The Basic ashore and on water exercises listed below are recommended skills required in order to complete tasks in the competency Levels 1-12. The majority of these exercises are either practiced ashore or on water in light Cherry Beach winds:
